Data Request

If the data you require is not available here, you may contact data@sfpa.ie

Guidance on Data Requests

The SFPA can neither disclose vessel names nor any information that might relate back to an individual vessel (a confidentiality risk) every cell of a dataset will have to contain the data from a number of vessels. The more detailed the data set, the more chance there will be suppressed data (effectively missing data). Too many suppressed data cells may affect the usefulness of the resulting data set, so please bear this in mind. In some cases, none of the data requested can be released.

In addition, please ensure the data variables required are detailed in full (e.g. year/port/ ICES zone/ species) as revisions are rarely possible but will be regarded as new requests. Timeframes depend on the complexity of the request and unit workload, typically within 14 days.
