The (SFPA) and (BIM) will host a number of Webinars to provide regulatory guidance and grant aid information that will help prepare the seafood industry for the UK’s departure from the EU.


The  (SFPA) and  (BIM) will host a number of Webinars  to provide regulatory guidance and grant aid information that will help prepare the seafood industry for the UK’s departure from the EU.

The events will take place on:

November 24th 2020 for Approved Establishments and the Aquaculture industry.

November 30th 2020   for Agents, Transporters and Retailers.

 

 

The Webinars will be held via WebEx Teams.

 

The events will include requirements for operator registration to trade with the UK and will address any queries you may have on trading seafood with the UK from 01.01.2021. Topics will include SPS and anti-IUU controls on seafood consignments and direct vessel landings, the provision of health and catch certificates and processing statements and the operation of trade related pre-notification periods.  BIM will outline the grants available to assist companies to prepare for Brexit and signpost other supports available through other agencies. Advice will also be provided on finance issues and setting up of deferred customs payment accounts which will be required for importers and exporters.

 

The speakers will be Mr Bernard O’Donovan, SFPA and Gavin McGrath, BIM.
