Weighing on Landing

The control regulation requires the weighing of all fishery products at the place of landing before those products are transported, held in storage or sold.
The EU commission has approved:
• IRL Control Plan and which provides for weighing after transport from the place of landing to a permitted premises in Ireland.
• National Sampling plans which, under certain circumstances, permit derogation from the requirement for weighing all fishery products on landing.
• Common Control Programmes between Ireland & France and Ireland & Belgium
