Grace Carr

Grace Carr is a marine biologist and is currently the Marine Advocacy Officer with the Irish Wildlife Trust. Her role involves working on policy and advocacy around Marine Protected Areas and fisheries in Ireland and the EU. One of her main goals in this role is to help strengthen engagement between the fishing industry and environmental organisations and to foster a strong working relationship into the future to help work towards a healthy ocean and sustainable fisheries in Ireland.

She has a Master's of Research in marine biology and before her role in the NGO sector, she took part in work studying species such as Atlantic bluefin tuna and blue sharks in the North Atlantic. She has also worked teaching SCUBA diving for many years and has a great love and appreciation for the ocean. .
